100* dead goldfish

When Kenny was 3 years old, he decided he was going to "save" his goldfish from being stuck in its fishbowl by putting it in his shoe. I was very surprised when I went to the closet and found a cold, dead goldfish in one of his shoes when I was going to put them on his feet.  I'm not sure if he thought the fish would be able to walk or what , but that's what he said after I found the dead fish and asked him what happened to it. He didn't expect the fish to die; however he didn't like that the fish was captive in a bowl. Kenny continued to think that way all his life--he did not like going to the zoo because he did not like seeing the animals in cages. He felt it was cruel for humans to lock animals up. It was one of his pet peeves.
